

FALCE, Sandra Ann Meachum, age 62 of Hermitage, TN. entered into Eternal Life on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA. ending a courageous 6 year battle with Breast Cancer. Sandy was born Oct. 26, 1950 in Lewisburg, PA. The daughter of Charles and Nettie Meachum. She graduated from Lewisburg High School in June 1968. She earned her diploma in Computer Programming from Thompson Institute, Harrisburg, PA in 1969. She married her husband, Joseph (Joe) Falce August 7, 1971. Sandy worked in the Insurance Industry for 44 years. During her career she earned her certification as a Certified Insurance Counselor, Certification in General Insurance. The highlight of her career was earning her Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter Certification. She was employed by Commercial Insurance Associates, Brentwood, TN as an Account Executive, specializing in Railroads at the time of her death. Sandy was a member of Hermitage Presbyterian Church, Hermitage, TN where she was presently serving her 2nd term as a member of the Church’s Session. She was an avid supporter of Room in the Inn for the homeless, where she collected men’s clothing for distribution. She loved the outdoors and was an active member with the Boy Scouts of America for 29 years. She has served in many positions including Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts Roundtable Chairman, Den Leader Coach in the district level. She was the Organizational Representative for Troop 263 Hermitage for the past 24 years. She was awarded the Hermitage District Long Riffle Award, and was a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. Sandy is survived by husband of 41 years Joe; her son, Jason of Hermitage, TN.; loving sister, Linda Scheetz (Robert) of Monroe, NY. ; brother, Charles L. Meachum (Stacy) of Lewisburg, PA.; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews , brother and sister-in-laws will miss her. A Memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Hermitage Presbyterian Church with an inurnment to follow at 2 pm in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
