Sandy had a successful career in the insurance and dental fields before retiring in 2011. She was full of life and personality, having never met a stranger, and could light up any room with her beautiful smile, outgoing personality and sense of humor. Above all else, Sandy was a Christian wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was full of wisdom and love for all of her family and friends. She loved well . . . was well loved . . . and will be greatly missed.
Sandy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Cecil Ray and Annette (Martindale) Hilliard. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kevin Jackson; her children, Kenneth Kastelic (Lacy), Haley Isbell (Nick), and Tyler Kastelic; her grandchildren Kalen Kastelic, Max Isbell, Sam Isbell; sister, Donna Rodgers (Butch); and brother, Robert Hilliard (Sharon).
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 19, from 4pm – 7pm, and again on Wednesday, December 20, from 10:30am – 12pm. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home with Allan Goldberg officiating. Robert Hilliard, Butch Rodgers, Bret Rodgers, Nick Isbell, Kalen Kastelic, Mike Jackson, Steve Jackson, and Chris Jackson will serve as pallbearers. Following the service, Sandy will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
