Mrs. Walpole had a special place in her heart for cats that needed to be rescued; so, she often made a place for them in her home. She really loved spending time with her family. Her favorite seasons were Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Mrs. Walpole was known as being a bit of a “bookworm” as she had such a passion for reading. But just the printed page had its place in her life, so did the big screen. She loved movies and, especially, movie trivia. These past-times fell right in line with her being a “homebody”. When she was home, she was in her element and could enjoy her own entertainment or her family – whichever was most convenient. Even though she loved being at home, a favorite get-away spot was in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Her grandparents owned a summer home there when she was a little girl and she would visit and spend time there. Though not able to visit as often, Lake Geneva still held a special place in her heart…and her sister, Monica, still lives there.
Mrs. Walpole is preceded in death by her parents, William Mazurek and Marcia Germaine; and a brother, Bill Mazurek. She is survived by Howard Everett Walpole, her loving husband of 41 years; her twin daughters, Diane Marks (Todd) and Donna Elliott (Randy); her grandson, Eric Parker; sister, Monica Gruszynski; and her nieces, Veronica Gruszynski and Jayme Penn.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 11am – 1pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm in the Tulip Grove Room.
