Shelby Eugene Brown Sr.

Shelby Eugene Brown, Sr. 79, of Franklin, KY entered into rest Monday, March 7, 2016 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Shelby was born October 3, 1936 in Madisonville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Owen and Nevelene Davis Brown. His wife Sallie Glover Brown, daughter Beth Ann Brown.

Shelby was retired from APV Crepaco in Nashville, TN. Member of Three Springs Baptist Church in Bowling Green.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Isbell Brown of Franklin, KY. One son Shelby Eugene (Gene) Brown, Jr. (Brenda) of Lebanon, TN. and one daughter Mitzi Brown Sanders (Ricky) of Mt. Juliet, TN. One step-son Gary Herrington of Bowling Green, two brothers Larry Brown (Carol) of Danville, KY and Steve Brown (Martha) of Freeport, FL. Four wonderful grandchildren Evan Sanders, Jordan Sanders, Shelby E. Brown, III and Molly Kate Brown. Two step-granddaughters Kim Herrington and Lauren Samios (Andrew), two step-great grandchildren Landon Herrington and Eleni Samios. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home, in Hermitage, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel in Bowling Green, KY. Visitation on Wednesday 12:00 pm until funeral time at Hermitage Funeral Home and Bro. Kenneth Massey will be officiating. Burial will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Hermitage, TN. Pallbearers will be Evan Sanders, Shelby Brown, III, Seth Brown, Scott Glover, Jeff Glover, Jimmy Smithson, Young Bullington, Lonnie Cockriel. Honorary Pallbearers will be David McGraw, Bobby McCain, Bobby Latham, Tony Thornton, J. C. Conatser.
