Shirley Ann Lyon age 93 August 27, 2017 Nee` Hewitt she was born in Norfolk Va. Mrs. Lyon was preceded in death by Husband William D. Lyon Jr. and son W. David Lyon III. She is survived by sons: John (Connie) Lyon of New Orleans La., George (Jane) Lyon, Charles (Dianna) Lyon and Spence (Kathy) Lyon of Nashville Tn. Honorable Mention of No 6 son Larry M. Rouse. Nine grandchildren and Seventeen great grandchildren.
Known as “Mama Lyon” To those who know Her, She served as school patrol mother at Donelson High School during the sixties and the seventies. She retired as an employee of the state of Tennessee after 25 years of service.
Visitation with family to be held Wednesday August 30, from 4 pm till 8 pm and Thursday from 12 pm till time of service at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of life will be held 1 pm Thursday August 31, with grandson Dr. Jeremy Lyon officiating. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
