He is preceded in death by his parents, John Kirk and Berta Carraway Roberts, son, Thomas “Tommy” Roberts Jr., and brother, John K. Roberts Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ellen Hatley Roberts; children, Karlene Roberts (Clayton) Carter, Deborah Roberts (Brian) Thomas, and Sherry (Brad) Dean; 9 grandchildren, Katie Carter (fiancé, Chris Lambert), Andrew (Taylor) Carter, Kelton Carter, Allison (T.J.) Elsten, Ashley Reed (fiancé, Kyle Williams), Travis Dean, Kirk Thomas, Kyle (Nikki) Thomas, and Tracey Thomas (Shuron Lewis); 4 great grandchildren, Finn Carter, Ty Elsten, Lucas Elsten, and Railynn Lewis; sister, Jean Roberts Nickens, and several extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm with the Celebration of Life Service following at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Tom's honor to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
