I’m so sorry to learn of Jimmy’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time. This is a huge loss for me as well. Not many family members are left who shared a close childhood. I will miss his yearly or biannual visits (and our phone conversations) when we would sit and reminisce about our parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles and all the things we did and observed as children. Sometimes we would go visit friends who still live where we had as children and that was always wonderful to “go back in time” and see our grandparents’ old home place. I have to mention my brother, Gordon, because Jimmy had lots of stories about their time together over the years and we spent many visits laughing and wishing he were still here. I’d like to think they are hunting together again!!
My mother (Jimmy’s father’s sister, Alta,) would always say, whenever she saw Jimmy, “Sweet Jimmy Lee from sunny Tennessee!” not knowing all those years ago that he would actually end up in TN and spend the rest of his life there.
I will always cherish the times we shared as children and also as adults. I know he loved his family dearly and was so proud of his sons.
He was a good man and I don’t often say that.
Much love and Godspeed Jimmy. You can rest now.

the LaFleur & Thomassie family,
We were saddened upon the news of Mr. V. Lefleur's passing to Eternal Life. May the precious memories of your loved one bring your comfort during this difficult time. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Lafleur was present when CPO Randal Thomassie retired from Military Service at Mayport. We enjoyed his lengthy sea-salt stories till we were kicked out of the CPO club. Fair Winds and Following Seas, your tour is done. God bless you.

Thank you, Verlan, for the special love you shared with my beautiful niece, Rhonda and her girls, her mom and Cayden. You most certainly will brighten the gates of Heaven with that same kind of love!
