She was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She dreamt of becoming a wife and mother, and her proudest moments were the births of her children and grandchildren. Vickie's hobbies included spending time outdoors with her family, working in the yard, and doing projects with her son. She loved birds and the color purple.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Eudaly and Betty Jean Griggs Blunkall, and grandparents, Bill and Ida Mae Griggs.
She is survived by her husband, John E. "Eddie" Jewell II; children, Stacey (Brian) Edwards and John (Tony Rachilla) Jewell III; grandchildren, Stefanie (Anthony) Matthews and Tabitha "Tabby" Savage; brothers, Billy and Buddy Blunkall, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 1, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 2, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Thursday, May 3, one hour prior to the service.
The Celebration of Life Service for Vickie will be in the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home Thursday, May 3, at 12:00 pm with Bro. John Ledford officiating.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Barry "BJ" Jewell, Craig Jewell, Stephen Jewell, Billy Blunkall, Ricky Mullins, and Dillon Jewell.
