We have known Walt and his family for many years and have nothing but good to say about him and family.  We considered them family and it was a real shock at his passing this earth  but  a joy to know that he has a Heavenly home awaiting. 
In reading some other condolences, Karen and Jo Ann McCormick expressed the feelings and thoughts that we have about Walt better than we could ever say about him and we agree  that 
they all apply.

Our Deepest condolences to Wava and the family.  You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.  May God grant you peace and comfort.  Walt  cared deeply for his family and Heaven gained a Beautiful soul. We are always here for you. "God Bless"

Walt was a great man and friend. I will miss him sitting across the aisle in Sunday morning Bible class. He was always so kind. And he was so encouraging and supportive of our mission work in South Sudan. He reminded me so much of Jesus.

I am so sorry to hear about Walt's passing. I really enjoyed our time at Stanford Estates.  Wava you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Walt was a man that I always respected.  For me, he was a model of how a Christian man should live.  I always enjoyed speaking with him.  One of my most memorable times was when I was in the hospital in substantial pain from a car wreck and he was there in no time making me laugh so hard I was almost in tears.  I will miss him.

We will always remember Bro. Walt's sweet smile and what a gentle and kind gentleman he was.  He will be missed greatly but will see him again one day in heaven.  Much love to Mrs Wava and Steve and all who will miss him so much.

"Walt was a great person, father and Man,"  And he treated me like a friend and son through the 50 some years I have know him. He loved life, family and friends. A Blessed Man.

A dear sweet beloved friend of ours went to be with the Lord today. He was a sweet & gentle human being. He was humble & kind. We were so blessed to know this wonderful man. He never met a stranger. He liked everyone. He was so much fun to be around. He always had a sweet smile on his face & shared it with everyone. He was always cracking jokes & making you laugh. He was a wonderful father & husband. He was devoted to his family & friends. He was a TRUE Christian & he loved the Lord. He walked the walk & talked the talk. He was an example to all of us. A shining light in a very dull world. He made you want to be a better person. He will be missed beyond belief! Walt was one of the finest men I've ever had the chance to meet. Kate and I have had the pleasure of living next door to Walt and Wava for several years. Walt certainly had a "green thumb", and he was always willing to help out a couple of novice gardeners with tips for our vegetable garden and rose bushes. On many occasions we would try to bring Walt's garbage bins to or from the curb before he could get to them, only to find he had already beaten us to it, having already moved our garbage bins for us instead. We will remember Walt fondly and miss having him as a neighbor. Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

 My friendship with Wava and Walt goes back to the 50's.  I will always be grateful to Walt for recommending me for my job at Ford Motor Co.  There are so many fond memories of us going to midnight bowling,  Wendy's after church; and his great sense of humor and joke telling. A fine Christian man has been called to a better home.
