Wanda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. At age twelve she cared for her three siblings after her mothers untimely passing. She loved her family, son, and grandchildren fiercely. Wanda worked as an accountant. In her free time, she caring for her beautiful home and garden. She was a very strong independent woman who cared for herself at home until her passing.
She is survived by her son Allen (Brenda Witt) Jones; grandchildren Ryan Jones and Lauren Jones, siblings Nell Wilson, Jean Huddleston and Thommy Thomas.
Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Grey Jones; parents Tommy Thomas and Irene Carter Thomas; sister Carol Thomas, Maddie Cordell; and her brother Roger Thomas.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday July 9, 2026 at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
