"BEAR"
April 24, 1945 – October 30, 2025
Wanda Gaye Lambert, lovingly known by many as “Gaye,” but by most as “Bear,” passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in McMinnville, Tennessee, and having spent most of her life in Antioch, Tennessee, Bear lived every bit of her life her way — with laughter, love, and faith guiding her every step.
She was a faithful wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and doting great-grandmother. Gone to be with her late husband, Jim “Papa” Lambert — fittingly on his birthday — she is now reunited with him, along with her sons-in-law, Kent Bradshaw and David Shaw, and her parents, D.W. and Armenta Crimm.
Bear is survived by her sister, Faye Ellis; daughters, Kymberly Shaw and Cindy Bradshaw; grandchildren, Brittney Swarner and husband Stephen Swarner, Lauren Shaw and fiancé Cody Harter, and Kyle Bradshaw; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Alec, August, Apollo, and Atlis Swarner, and Laec and Ocean Harter.
She lived for family gatherings, laughter around the dinner table, and adventures on the water. Whether she was cooking something delicious, traveling somewhere new, or telling a story that made everyone laugh until they cried, Bear had a way of making every moment unforgettable. She was known for her kindness, humor, deep faith, and the love she poured into everyone around her.
A faithful wife and talented property manager in real estate, Bear carried herself with both grace and grit. Her strength and humor will live on in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to know her.
There will be a cryptside Memorial Service on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM.
And in true Bear fashion, we know she’s smiling and singing along with Jim to their favorite tune — “My Way"
