Bill was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and had recorded over 200 sounds songs including “Put it Off Until Tomorrow” and “Little Boy Sad”. He was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Charlotte Phillips and a son, Chip Phillips.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ann Phillips; sons, Rayme Phillips (Wendy), Mickey Denney; daughter, Paulette Burnell (Don) and 6 grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 1 pm with Brother August Ruff officiating at the Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 5 pm until 8 pm and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
