I am saddened to hear this news. I love the connection Kyle has with him and how much love they both have for farming life. One of my favorite memories is when Kyle was little and John took him for a tractor ride, where Kyle promptly fell asleep. I send my condolences to you Chris, and the whole family. Kara

I’ve known Mr. Plikus my whole life as my next door neighbor. He was always available to chat with my dad about anything from lawn care and landscaping to current events. I learned to ride a bike and roller blade in front of his house and in his driveway. He was always available to help whether I locked myself out of my house or needed someone to jump my car- if we got snowed in he wouldn’t hesitate to come over with his snow blower. His strength and discipline were unquestionable and unshakeable and his love and dedication to his wife Chris (and rescue dogs Thor and Ziva) were equally evident. He was a wonderful man who will be missed dearly. Love to Chris and the rest of John’s family.
