

She was born on May 15, 1921 in Ivoryton, CT the daughter of Daniel S. Fox and Amelia Miller Fox.
Mrs. McLean was a 1939 graduate of Pratt High School in Essex, CT. She lived most of her life in Old Lyme and was the Town Treasurer for 51 years from 1956 to 2007. In 2006, she was honored by the State of Connecticut and the Town of Old Lyme for 50 years of public service. Throughout her life she served on several boards including the McCurdy-Salisbury Foundation, Deep River Savings Bank, Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library and the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme. Mrs. McLean was a former member of Black Hall Club and the Old Lyme Beach Club, where she served as a member of the board for over thirty years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert G. McLean, her daughters Lizabeth Haas and her husband William of Chappaqua, NY, and Marcia McLean and her husband Peter Lasusa of New York, NY, her grandchildren William, Katherine and Matthew Haas and Timothy and Elizabeth Lasusa. She was predeceased by her brother Daniel Fox of Sudbury, MA.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme on Friday, August 5 at 11AM. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. or the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library in Old Lyme.
