She was born on February 1, 1918, in S. Lyme, the daughter of Peter Itts and Cora Maynard Itts.
She was the widow of James Swaney.
Mrs. Swaney is survived by her sons James Swaney and his wife Ethel of Greenbush, ME, Tom Swaney of Terryville, Richard Swaney and his wife Lucy of Waterford, Kenneth, Norman, and Leon Swaney of Old Lyme; her daughters Catherine McKim, Mildred Thomas, and Susan Colli of Old Lyme; 22 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two brothers and four sisters
