Dear Mac,
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of something Fred taught me.
Do one thing at a time, so things never get messy. Use the good napkins and placemats even for yourself. Take time to do more than watch Bloomberg and CNBC. Wake up in the morning and give belly rubs to my dog to make my day right. Laughing and smilng a lot=fewer frown lines.
If I miss Fred this much, Mac, it must be so terrible for you.
Know that you are both in my daily prayers. Love, Beth and Lucy

Dear Mac and EJ,
After a long intermission Fred called out of the blue about 10 years ago to wish me a happy birthday and revisit times past. He had uncovered a photo taken during our travels on a ship from Norway to England the summer after my senior year in high school (his junior year). Earlier that summer we had met briefly in southern Germany. Caught up in conversation, I neglected to keep tabs on a tub I was filling and it overflowed flooding the dining room below. Needless to say we were the talk at everyone's breakfast table with much finger pointing. As always his character-istic laugh and humor flew thru the phone lines and the intervening years dropped away.

After his phone call we had several opportunities to see Fred and both of you. We are thankful for those shared times and memories, especially now. We send our love.

Dearest Mac,
As always, my love and prayers are with you both. Fred taught me so much and was so much more than just a friend. He truly touched my life. You are my Macadoodle and Fred will always be my Pappa Fritz. As so many others, I am blessed to have known Fred. My gracious mentor and the man of a million smiles,,,,,,,,,,,,,the happiest birthday of my life, so many wonderful life lessons...................
I am here for you dear Mac, always. I will have a Mass said here for Fred.....in celebration of his life.
God bless you Mac.

Dear Mac, I can not tell you how incredably saddened I was to hear of Fred's passing. Fortunately, I was able to have a long talk with him on Dec.3rd. Although my "professional" relationship with Fred extended over 20+years, I also had a very close personal friendship with him do to his genuine kind/caring/funny personality. He will be sincerely and deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with both you and Fred's family, and am so sorry, I will not be able to attend the Dec. 20th service. However, as it turns out, i do have a surrogate, as I am an old friend of the good Reverend Mark Robinson.
With warmest and deepest condolences, Michael M. Moody
