Geneiveve Pernal

Geneiveve "Jean" Pernal, 93, of Boggy Hole Road, died Friday, September 17, 2010 at Bridebrook Rehab in Niantic. Mrs. Pernal was for on July 14, 1917 in Norwich, CT the daughter of Paul and Teofilia Pianko Kwasniewski. She was predeceased by her husband, Adolf Pernal. She worked at the Old Lyme Beauty Shop with her sister, Gertrude Kwasniewski, for many, many years. She was an active and devoted member of Christ the King Church. Mrs. Pernal is survived by her son, James P. Pernal and his wife, Edith of Old Lyme, her grandsons, Paul Pernal and his wife, Denise of Uncasville, Michael J. Pernal of CO, her sister, Gertrude Kwasniewski of Old Lyme. She is predeceased by her sisters, Rose Blackwell, Frances O'Brien and brothers, John and Joe Kwasniewski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church in Old Lyme. Interment will follow in Duck River Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, Old Lyme, CT 06371.
