

Geraldine M. Bell of Old Lyme passed away peacefully at her home on August 11, 2021. Born in New Haven on May 16, 1943, she was the daughter of Ralph D. Fragola and Alice (Ferrie) Fragola of Quaker Hill, CT.
Geraldine (Jeri) was a graduate of The Williams Memorial School in New London and completed her undergraduate Studies in English at Annhurst College in South Woodstock, Connecticut. Following her marriage to David Bell of Jacksonville, FL, she continued her education and completed a MA program in English and Educations at the Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL
After returning to Connecticut, Geraldine taught English for 15 years at Westerly (RI) Senior High School leaving to focus her interest and dedication to her family.
She was an avid reader of history in general and the lower Connecticut River Valley in particular. She also loved lilacs, her several miniature poodles and her most recent constant companion of more than 16 years, a Cairn Terrier, Skyler.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years of marriage, David Bell and her beloved daughter Megan Bell of Los Angeles, CA. Geraline is also missed by her devoted caregiver of the past year, Joyce Adutwuwaah.
A “Celebration of Life” will be convened beginning at 2:00PM. Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home in Old Lyme. Donations may be made in Geraldine’s memory to her favorite charity, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
