

James Curtis Mol, age 70, of Old Lyme CT, beloved husband of Nancy Alice Mol, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease and ALS. Mr. Mol was born on June 11, 1945 in Virginia to William and Lucille Gray Mol. He is survived by his son, James Mol of Manhattan and daughter, Gretchen Mol and her husband, Tod Williams and his two grandchildren, Ptolemy and Winter
Williams also of Manhattan. He is also survived by his brother William Mol and his wife, Paige, of Arizona, sister Charlotte Neal and her husband, Barry, of North Carolina, sister Glenda Dexter and her husband, Tom, of Mystic, sister Patty Roma and her husband, David, also of Mystic, and his sister-in-law, Margaret Mary Fitzgerald of Fairfield. Mr. Mol was a life-long educator and served as a special education teacher in both the Clinton and Deep River Public Schools before spending twenty-five years as an administrator and principal of Mount St. John, Inc. in Deep River. Following his retirement from Mount St. John, he served as a Special Education Coordinator for District 8, Hebron and as a Special Education Teacher at RHAM High School in Hebron.
In addition, Mr. Mol was most proud of his role as a Surrogate Parent for numerous wards of the state children. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 4 PM in the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, 1 McCurdy Rd., Old Lyme, CT.
