On September 2, 1934 she married (Rev.) George Gerald Parker. In 1970, after pastorates in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, Spencer, Massachusetts and Manhasset, New York they moved to Old Lyme. Her Husband died April 18, 1993.

Jane was a special person through all of her 100 years. When a physician recently commented on her strong will & described her as a “Yankee,” she proudly corrected him informing him that she was a “West Virginia Mountain Woman.” Out of these West Virginian roots came a remarkable person. She was determined, strong willed, intelligent & inquisitive. At the same time she brought the gifts of love, kindness & friendship to all who came in contact with her. She was the heart of her family, the heart of the journey with her husband in the ministry and the heart of her many friendships. We will all miss her.
Jane was a charter member of the Lower Connecticut Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women. She was an active volunteer at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 2:00 in the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme. Her burial is in the Memorial Garden at the (Old Lyme) Church.
