Joshua Douglas Firgelewski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Firgelewski, born on February 21, 1990, and who left us too soon on January 13, 2026. A beloved friend to many, Joshua was known for his infectious spirit, adventurous nature, and unwavering love for life. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in boating, fishing, hunting and the freedom of the open road.

Joshua had a deep connection to the land, lovingly tending to his farm in Lyme, CT, and caring for the animals he cherished.

Joshua loved entertaining, bringing friends and family together for laughter, good food, and unforgettable moments.

Joshua is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Denise. He is survived by his father, William; his loving girlfriend, Leah; his sister Ruth and her husband Richard; his brother William and wife Erica; his sisters Rebecca and Alison with husband Curtis; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Katelyn, David, and William.

As we remember Joshua, we celebrate a life filled with laughter, love, and the spirit of adventure. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Calling hours will be held at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Service, located at 13 Beckwith Ln, Old Lyme, Connecticut, 06371, on January 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A funeral service will take place at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, situated at 2 Ferry Rd, Old Lyme, Connecticut, 06471, on January 24, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm.
