Mr. Clark was born on January 29, 1944 in Buffalo, NY the son of Herbert and Barbara (Richmond) Clark.
He married Jane Gray who he met while studying building construction at Michigan State University. They settled in Old Lyme, CT where he managed building construction companies and was involved in various town organizations.
He was an avid boater who explored the East Coast from Canada to the top of Florida, as well as Puget Sound and Southeast Alaska. His passion was building things to make things better for him and the people around him. These creations included a rope tow for a toboggan hill and various wheelchair lifts and ramps that allowed his wife to continue to boat with him.
Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jane, son David (Kristen) Clark, brother Herb (Sherry) Clark, sister Marjorie Smith, Grandchildren Julia and Gabrielle, sister-in-laws Ann (Deile) Gray and Beth (Merle) Dusek, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Larry Smith.
