Michael Ralph Long

Born on July 21, 1967, Michael was the son of David R. Long and was predeceased by his mother Janet Adams Long on October 31, 1987. Michael leaves behind his father and step mother Sandy R. Long of Old Lyme; his sister Bethany L. Conroy of Old Lyme; Aunt and Uncle, Scottie and Pete Adams; Aunt Nancy Adams Hill & Uncle Gary Adams.

Michael graduated from Lyndon State College in 1988 with a BA in psychology. Michael’s true love was cooking. He worked as a chef at several restaurants in the Lyndonville, VT area before realizing that there was not enough snow for skiing, his second most loved activity along with fishing and sailing, so he moved to Breckenridge, CO for twenty years. Colorado provided the skiing opportunity only matched by his skiing adventures in the French Alps. He worked at many restaurants throughout the Breckenridge area.

Burial services will be held for immediate family. On Saturday, November 22, a reception will be held at 101 Boston Post Road, Old Lyme from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the Homeless Hospitality Center in New London, PO Box 1651, New London, CT.
