Lyme- Nancy Lee (Halyburton) Plyler, 61, of Blood St., died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at her residence. She married her high school sweetheart, James Plyler, on June 4, 1981; they celebrated 36 years of marriage this year. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband Jim; their two daughters Kathryn and Pamela; her mother Peggy; her two sisters, Kathy Schoyer and Sue Labriola and brother Edward Waido; and her many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nancy was happiest when she was in or on the water. She loved walks to Griswold Point, sailing to Shelter and Block Island, and spending time in the Keys. But, her favorite thing was being a mother to her two girls. There are no words to ease the pain of losing Nancy way too soon. We are all stunned. My heart goes out to all of you- Jimmy, Kathryn,Pamela, Peg, Kathy and Sue. I have known Nancy since we grew up on Library Lane and have many wonderful memories of her over the years. We worked together for many years and she was one of the best nurses I ever worked with. She was a natural leader and I knew that when Nancy was on, I could relax and not expect any phone calls. Please know that Nancy will be missed by many and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
