Patricia Roach Carlson, born on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1945, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at her beloved home in Old Lyme, surrounded by her family. May she rest in peace, reunited at last in the loving arms of her late husband, Norman BrewerCarlson.
Known to all as Pat, she spent her life in Old Lyme, Connecticut, among her family, many siblings and spouses, and lifelong friends. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a loving daughter and sister, and a tireless caregiver — roles she embraced with deep love and unwavering strength. Her distinguished career as a registered nurse reflected her calling to help others and her enduring Catholic faith. Whether it was tending to a neighborhood child’s scraped knee, comforting a stranger in crisis, or caring for those closest to her during their darkest hours, Pat was always there to make things better.
Between nursing shifts and countless trips to the ball field to cheer on her husband and sons, Pat found joy in her gardens, her cherished dogs, and her love for flowers and antiques. She was a master gardener, a spirited antiquing companion, and brought a smile to each room she entered. Her wit was sharp, her laugh contagious, and her humor — always generous and joyfully shared. She adored her family and friends in life, and cherished them more than they know.
Patricia will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. She gave her heart freely and was deeply loved in return. May we smile as we remember her, take comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord, and carry her memory with love.
