My daughter worked with Steve at Ocean Surveys and one day she stopped by and suggested we get together with he and his wife because we would really like them.  That was in the mid 1980's and we have been good friends ever since.  Steve and my husband belonged to the same hunting and fishing club and they had many good times there.  There were also times when the club had dinners with the women and the 4 of us would be there.  We all spent many lovely evenings at Harkness Memorial  State Park  having a picnic while listening to so many musical events.  We also enjoyed going to the Garde Theater enjoying plays and other venues.  On Friday nights we would go to Cherrystones in Old Lyme for Happy Hour and then play our favorite card game, PITCH.  After that restaurant closed we took turns going  to each others homes  for our Friday night Happy Hours. We have had so many wonderful times together and Steve will always live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.  My sincere sympathy goes to the Bartlett family and may your memories give you peace. I think Steve is with the Lord enjoying all the things he always loved to do and just couldn't do in the past.  I also know that Steve, Tim and Timmy are hunting and fishing or at least reminiscing  about everything they loved.


Dear Grace, Stephen and Tim, my deepest condolences on the passing of Steve. I always enjoyed the many years that we had the opportunity to share in our younger days. Steve was a true patriot and a wonderful man. There are no words that can take away the pain you are going through during this sad time.  Steve’s suffering is now a thing of the past as he dwells in our Heavenly Fathers glorious Kingdom.  May our Savior Jesus Christ bring you comfort in the days to come.

My condolences to Steve's family...Rest In Peace my friend.... I will always have fond memories of august days fishing and hunting over Toby your beagle and your warm welcome at Chi Phi. 

I am very sorry for your loss.  When I worked at Ocean Surveys in the '90's, Steve was always helpful and the "voice of reason" on complex projects and business development.
