William Richard O'Connell

William R. O’Connell- Age 83, of Old Lyme, previously of Stratford, husband of Frances, died at home on Thursday, October 30. Born in Hartford son of William and Nellie O’Connell. Bill served in the Air Force during the Korean War and enjoyed a career with the Department of Defense and Norden Systems.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by his son, Brian of Newburyport MA, Linda and Bob Ryall of Guilford, Patricia and Philippe Semprez of Dallas TX, Sheila and Jeffrey Salkin of Old Lyme Janice and Gary Briguglio of Guilford. Bill was the proud Grandfather of Paige, Morgan and Spencer Ryall, Camille Anais Semprez, and Bianca, Francesca, Gabriella and Andre Salkin. Brother Howard and Sister in laws, Mary Arsenault, Joan O’Connell and Mary O’Connell, many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Romeo. Bill was predeceased by his parents, brothers Joseph, Charles, Richard and Walter.
