Alexander L Michelson

Alexander L. Michelson, (Mike), age 79, husband of Rita M. Michelson and father of Jennifer A. Michelson of Chester, CT passed away unexpectedly January 18, 2016 peacefully at home. Mike was born September 18, 1936 in Pelham, NY. Mike is predeceased by parents Alexander and Edith Ruth, brother Richard and sister Evelyn Ruth Nilsson. Nieces include Robin Durso, Christine Gullo and Debra Campbell.

Mike and Rita previously lived in Norwalk and Ridgefield, CT. Mike graduated Darien High School and was a veteran of the United States Airforce where he was stationed throughout Europe in the Military Police. He spent a lifetime in automotive as a Ford Parts Manager. Mike accomplished his goal of restoring the family’s ’65 mustang. In his earlier years, Mike, Rita and Jennifer spent time boating in Long Island Sound.

Mike enjoyed many days at Mal’s Auto & Truck Repair of Old Saybrook as a great friend, father and grandfather figure, a comedian, and cherished mentor.
