Beverly Scaramella Landry

She was born on July 20th, 1920 in Barnstable MA, the daughter of Carlton I and Isabella Faye Ryder. She was the Gold Star widow of Gaetano Scaramella and the sister of Carlton Ryder both of whom were killed in WWII. She later married Lionel J. Landry who also passed away in the service of his country.

She was a well known and long time resident of Barnstable village on Cape Cod. She worked for many years at the Barnstable County Court house and volunteered for over 25 years to raise money for the Cancer society. She was an avid sports fan rooting for all Boston sports teams. Due to family military involvement she was a true patriot.

Mrs. Landry is survived by her son Vincent Scaramella and wife Leslie of Old Saybrook; grandchildren Tracy Walker of Belchertown, MA and Darren Scaramella of South Windsor CT; and 11 great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son Jerry Landry who served in the United States Navy

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Jan 5, 2016 at 11:00 in Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Rd. Old Lyme CT. Burial will be on her beloved Cape Cod at a later date.
