Christine Rose (Walsh) Adelmann, 57 of Old Saybrook passed away suddenly March 24, 2010 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was a graduate of Platt High School in Meriden and former owner of Rose Royce Florists located on Main Street in Old Saybrook. For many years she was a paralegal for Dizalo, Pickett and Allen. Christine currently served as office manager for Adelmann’s Gulf/Saybrook Tire and Auto as well as an agent for Genovali Real Estate. She was an accomplished golfer, avid reader and most recently became a most competitive poker player. Christine was the beloved wife of Charles E. “Chuck” Adelmann of Old Saybrook, loving mother of Devon Straway of Niantic and devoted daughter of Thomas J. and Rose (Kendzior) Walsh, SR of Old Saybrook. In addition she is survived by two brothers, William J. Walsh and Timothy G. Walsh both of Middlefield; her brother-in-law, Kenneth G. Adelmann of Old Saybrook and sisters-in-law, Linda Brown of Old Saybrook and Suzan A. Adelmann of Boston, MA along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and scores of friends. Christine was predeceased by her brother Thomas J. Walsh, JR. Friends may visit the family at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
