Dear Pat & Mike, I am sorry to hear about David's passing. Without a doubt, he was one of the most courtly men I have ever met. He shook hands or hugged, helped get one's coat on or off and played bartender offering a welcoming libation on the cold nights we watched the parade. He was blessed to be in your loving care and you were fortunate to have him in your lives for so long. Hugs, Doraine

Pat and Mike,

I just wanted to say what a wonderful man Dave was. I will always appreciate him checking on my mom and being a wonderful neighbor.

I write on behalf of myself and my son, who is a great admirer of Dave. So much so that I cannot bear to share this sad news with him.
My son regarded Dave as old-fashioned in the best possible way. Kind, dignified, courtly and devoted to those he loved. One day, shortly before the pandemic, we ran into Dave and Beverly shopping at Highland Park. As usual, Dave took some time to talk to my son. And as we left, my son said to me, "Dave is a real man."

Dear Pat and Mike. I was so sorry to hear about David. It was always a pleasure seeing him at the Torchlight Parade Party at your house every year. He was a dear, sweet man with the most beautiful smile!
