Diana F. Stratidis, 86, widow of Constantine A. Stratidis, since 2001, of Old Saybrook, passed away on May 29, 2019, at Middlesex Hospital after a brief illness, with her family by her side.

Diana was born on December 17, 1932, in Romania the daughter of Nicholas and Athena Floratos, previously residing in Greece before settling in Brooklyn, NY.

Mrs. Stratidis was employed by R & R Donnelly & Sons, retiring in 2000. She was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Diana was very active in the church, and devoted to the Greek Orthodox Faith.

She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with her family. In addition to raising her children, she maintained her career. A light heartedwoman, she had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.Diana had a special place in her heart for helping disadvantaged children. Diana had a selfless spirit and would put others first. Diana will be most remembered for her love of family and her deep faith.

She is survived by her sons Anthony C. Stratidis and his wife Elizabeth of Westbrook and Evangelos C. Stratidis and his wife Lisa of Essex; daughters Athena S. Boccia of Old Saybrook and Christina M. Stratidis- Macrini and her husband Robert of Branford; grandchildren Brianna S. Banach, Chelsea Sands, Corey Stratidis, Alexa Schultz, Gabrielle Stratidis Jerry Boccia, Loretta McNamee, Jackie Martin, and Natalie Martino; great grandchildren Luke E. Sands, Maxwell A. Sands, Nicholas Sands, Nicholas Martino, Ethan Martino, Josh Martin and Siena Martin; niece Zoitsa E. Stevens; brother Spiros Floratos of Agrinion, Greece. She was predeceased by her sister Angela Economy, and her son Gerasimos Stratidis.

Her family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Middlesex Hospital staff for their wonderful care. Also, they would like to express their gratitude to her home care givers.
