Dorothea Ann Doyle

Dorothea was the daughter of John and Ann Hartnett, and baby sister to Helen Dunlap, Ed Hartnett, Jim Hartnett, and John Hartnett, all deceased. Dorothea had a long and loving marriage with the late Thomas J. Doyle, and is survived by her son Jeffrey Doyle, her two granddaughters Shannon Doyle and Crystal Doyle, and her daughter-in-law Sandi Doyle.

Throughout her life, Dorothea was many things to many people: dedicated and beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother; loving wife; dear friend; secretary; town treasurer; volunteer; devout Catholic; avid traveler; animal lover; and so much more. She will be deeply missed, but we are comforted by our many cherished memories.

A Catholic mass will be held on Monday, August 15th at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Old Saybrook, CT. In lieu of flowers, Dorothea requested that donations be sent to Ray of Light Farms, 232 Town Street, East Haddam, CT, 06423.
