She was born on February 16, 1929, and was raised in Old Lyme with her twelve siblings. She was the widow of Donald Willis. Dorothy always had a special place in her heart for children with needs, and her family has donated a skin graft to a foundation that helps children with cleft pallet and burn victims.
Dorothy is survived by her children Shirley Rascoe and Donna Wise of Old Saybrook and Donald Willis, Jr., of Old Lyme; siblings Fran Hart of NC and Hank Daniels of Waterford; 7 grandchildren; and she was affectionately known as Grammie II to 11 great grandchildren.
Her family is deeply grateful to Yale for their exceptional care and kindness.
Burial will be private.
