Earl E. Roberts

Earl Evan Roberts, age 87, formally of Old Saybrook, passed away in Highlands Ranch, CO, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Jane Gray Roberts. Earl was born in Hartford on August 9, 1924, to the late Evan and Louise (Boettger) Roberts. Earl graduated from Buckley High School, and was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy Seabee's. After his time in the military he became a self-employed, carpenter and home builder. He was a member of the Amateur Bowler's Tour, and Tideland and Merchants Bowling Leagues, Youth Baseball Coach and Junior Bowling Coach. He will be sadly missed. Earl is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Roberts Schweitzer of Highlands Ranch, CO, two sons, William Earl Roberts of Bristol, and John Gray Roberts of Meriden. He is also survived by four grandchildren Colleen,Kelly, Kara Schweitzer and Ryan Roberts. He is predeceased by his brother Wilbert Roberts.

Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook, CT Friday, April 20, from 6-8. Graveside services will be Saturday April 21, at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Sheffield St., Old Saybrook, CT with full military honors.
