

Edward Anson Bushnell, age 47, passed away at Milford Hospital on March 15, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Pamela (Dapra) Bushnell. Ed was born in Middletown, Connecticut on April 6, 1965. He was the son of Edward C. Bushnell Jr. of Old Saybrook,and the late Delance (Maynard) Bushnell.
Ed was an 1983 Old Saybrook High School graduate. During his school years he was a cross country and track athlete. He worked for the State of Connecticut for over 20 years as a trainer in defense and restraining of patients. He was based at CVH but traveled all over the state. Ed also trained CPR and first aid.
Ed loved his cats and was an avid fisherman. Ed was devoted to his family and will be sadly missed.
Besides his wife and father he is survived by a daughter Emma and son Conner Bushnell. He is also survived by two brothers, Cole and his wife Eileen Bushnell of Massachusetts and Steven and his wife Gretchen Bushnell of Old Saybrook as well as six nieces and nephews Thomas, Mary, Steven, John, Erin, and Cailin, and a great niece Madeline.
Graveside services will be held April 6 at 11 am at Riverside Cemetery, Sheffield Street, Old Saybrook. Family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Haven Animal Shelter.
