Eleanor S. Duquette

Eleanor S. Duquette died Thursday April 11th 2013 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown CT, she was 81. She was born Eleanor S. Woodson on September 7th 1931 and raised in Westport. She graduated from Staples High School in 1949, and was married to Louis A. Duquette on September 10, 1955.They owned and operated the family business Jerry's Hardware; they retired and moved to Old Saybrook in 1986.She loved to sew, knit, crochet, read and cook. She was a huge UCONN Husky’s girls basketball fan.She is survived by her husband Louis A. Duquette; their son Colonel Thomas L. Duquette, USAF, Retired and his wife Dr. Sherri R. Maxwell of Cross Plains Texas; their daughter Susan A. Duquette and her fiancé Alan Benincaso of Westport CT, and one granddaughter Kristin Malagise of Fairfield CT as well as many nieces and nephews.She is predeceased by her mother Loretta Rubey Woodson, her father Ralph E.
