Ethel Fleury McCrudden, beloved wife of Cornelius B. McCrudden, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2018. She was born on July 6, 1930, the only child to Alexander A. and Ethel (French) Fleury, in Brooklyn, NY. She and her husband were owner/operators of Lakes Drug Store in Old Greenwich, CT for many years before retiring to Old Saybrook. She was a regular communicant of St. John’s Church.
Besides her husband of 65 years, she is survived by her three daughters and their families; Debora (William) Iannaccone, Margaret ‘Peg’ (Peter) Gallagher, and Tracy (William) Labieniec. She adored her grandchildren; Anthony Iannaccone, Pamela Iannaccone, Margaret Gallagher, Timothy (Janine Boyle) Gallagher, Andrew (Catherine Cole) Gallagher, John ‘Jack’ Gallagher, Patrick Alexander, Whitney Alexander, and Ryan Alexander. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Keegan and Adalyn Gallagher, whom she loved dearly. Friends and family may call at Swan Funeral Home at 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, on Sunday August 5th, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John’s Church at 161 Main St., Old Saybrook, CT at 11:30 on Monday August 6, 2018. A burial will immediately follow at Cypress Cemetery on College Street, Old Saybrook.
