Francis J Walsh Jr.

Francis J. Walsh, Jr., husband of Barbara G. Walsh since 1980, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, December 11, 2015 with family by his side. Fran was born August 25, 1956 in Brighton, Mass. to Barbara A. Walsh and the late Francis J. Walsh of Hudson, Mass. He graduated from Notre Dame High School of Fitchburg, Mass., Elmira College of Elmira, N.Y., and Worcester Polytechnic Institute of Worcester, Mass. Fran was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who deeply cherished the time he spent with his family. In addition to raising his daughters, he proudly maintained his career as the President and CEO of Standard Tube Sales Corporation and Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary of Scotia Properties. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived and will be profoundly missed by his two devoted daughters, Kaleena and her husband, Al Furrow, of Old Lyme, Conn., Christa and her husband, Luke Maynard, of Old Saybrook, Conn.; two adoring grandchildren, Lyla Maynard, and Cutter Furrow; an adoring step granddaughter, Juliet Maynard; three brothers, John, Robert, and Steven; three sisters, Barbara, Marianne, and Carolyn; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Granneman. Visitation hours will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Swan Funeral Home in Old Saybrook, Conn. Funeral services will begin 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the St. John Church of Old Saybrook.
