Jody A. Wilson

Jody was born on February 1, 1982, in New Haven, the daughter of Karen Wilson of Killingworth and the late Wayne Wilson. A beloved daughter, niece, and cousin, Jody graduated from Haddam-Killingworth High School as a member of the National Honor Society in 2000. Jody was always highly active in school activities, including serving as secretary of her class and serving on the yearbook committee. She had an avid love of health and sports and was an active member of her high school’s field hockey team. In the fall of 2000, Jody attended the University of Connecticut as a nursing student and she completed her first year. Outside of school, Jody was never one to sit still, and found time to participate in such causes as Habitat for Humanity. Over the last 12 years, Jody was loved and cared for by our extended family at Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation Center in Niantic.

In addition to her mother, Jody is survived by her uncle Gary Stevens and his wife Cindy of Chester, and cousins Gary Jr., Nichol, and Benedict Stevens.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 11am at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. A calling hour will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
