John P. Ryder

John was a retired machinist from Pratt and Whitney. He was a fantastic softball pitcher and bowler and played with Old Saybrook leagues. He raised his family and lived in Old Saybrook. John was the kindest, gentlest soul there was, mostly he was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. John is predeceased by his wife Frances Ryder and son Richard Ryder. John will be missed by his daughter Patti Roos and husband Eric Roos, grandsons Raymond Swain and Karl Roos all of Waterford, his sister Maureen Millspaugh( husband Tommy) and nieces Debbie Millspaugh and Kim Mehrtens.

The family would like to thank Mystic Healthcare where John lived his last 10 years for the exceptional and compassionate care, always treated with love and respect. Debbie, Cathy, and Kaitlynn: there just aren't words to express our gratitude towards you, so simply we say thank you and love you beyond words . Services will be private.
