Maria Dicos

Maria was born in Chios, Greece on July 7, 1944, and was the daughter of Emmanuel and Polyxenia Martakis Loukas.

She immigrated to the United States in 1955, and shortly after met Dimitri. They’ve been together ever since and have been married for 62 years.

Maria and Demitri owned and operated The Village Pizza restaurant in Richmond, RI. Maria and Demitri devoted their lives to the restaurant. Maria loved to cook and bake. She also loved watching the sunrises and sunsets on the beach. Maria was one in a million and broke the mold. She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours for Maria will be held on Monday, February 17 from 11 to 12 PM at the Swan funeral home, 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM in the funeral home. Burial at Riverside Cemetery in Old Saybrook after the service.
