

Marilyn Harten, of Old Saybrook, passed away on Sunday morning (March 17, 2013). Marilyn was born in New York City, NY to the late Michael and Maria (Lesante) Riccardone . She was a French teacher at Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, NY, where she met her husband of 45 years, Dr. James P. Harten. She enjoyed a good book, a PBS mystery, and most important, a phone call or visit from family and friends. No one gave more good counsel, unceasing support, and unconditional love through the telephone than she did. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: James and wife Ina in Shrewsbury, MA, Michael and wife Kelly Danielson in Woodstock, and Joseph and wife Allison in Rockaway, NJ; three grandchildren, Ariana, Victoria, and Troy; sister Dorothy Cardillo in Greenwich; and brother Richard Riccardone and wife Dolores in Ventura, CA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church in Old Saybrook at 11 a.m. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd. in Old Saybrook. www.swanfuneralhomeoldsaybrook.com
