

Born on April 30, 1955, at Yale New Haven Hospital to John and Barbara Bosnak, Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of Old Saybrook and a graduate of Saybrook High School.
Mary Ann dedicated much of her life to serving others. She proudly served her community as an Emergency Medical Technician and later worked as an EMT instructor, sharing her knowledge and passion for helping others with the next generation of emergency responders.
Music was one of Mary Ann's greatest loves. A talented guitarist and vocalist, she performed with local groups including Vertical Smile and Coventry Wood. She brought joy to many through her music, entertaining residents of local convalescent homes and performing at community events, including the Chester Fair.
Mary Ann also spent time working at the Ivoryton Playhouse, where she assisted with productions and enjoyed the opportunity to meet and work alongside numerous actors and actresses.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Petrus; her son-in-law, George Petrus III; and her cherished grandchildren, George Petrus IV and Adalyn Petrus.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her compassion, dedication to her community, love of music, and the kindness she shared with family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St John's Rc Church, 161 Main St, Old Saybrook, CT 06475, on Saturday ,June 20, 2026, from 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 1080 Horse Hill Road, Westbrook, Connecticut 06498, on June 20, 2026, at 11:00 am.
