Maryanne Peckaitis

Maryanne Peckaitis, 48, of Old Saybrook passed away after a long illness at Middlesex Hospice, Middletown. She leaves behind her beloved parents Victor and Joan (Yuodsnukis) Peckaitis of Old Saybrook. Mary was born in Middletown, CT, on October 1, 1962. Maryanne, fondly known as “Mary Sunshine”, worked for Whelen Engineering in Chester for 24 years. She was an avid bird watcher, as were her pet cats Nick and Noel. Maryanne prized her enormous hat collection. She was a true friend and will be sadly missed. Besides her parents, she leaves her devoted sister Christine Peckaitis of Middlebury; 2 uncles: Al Peckaitis and his wife Jane of Oxford, MA; and Romas Peckaitis of Worcester, MA; many cousins, including Sharon and Louis Gouin of Worcester, MA; and her beloved boyfriend Karl Sandvig of Old Saybrook. Family and friends may call at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook on Sun. Dec. 12, 2010 from 2 – 5 pm. Services will be private.
