Nancy Steigleder

Nancy was a devoted wife to William Steigleder for 57 years and a dedicated mother to their four children: William (Rachel), Linda, Kristin (Frank), and Deborah (Jai). Nancy was a loving grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Carly, Stephen, Stephanie, Nicholas, Megan, Sydney, Mia, and Allison in addition to seven great grandchildren.

After raising their family Nancy and Bill purchased and ran the Romora Bay Club on Harbour Island Bahamas, an endeavor they enjoyed for 12 years before moving onto their next adventure in Ireland where they purchased and renovated a historic home in the town of Ballinspittle. This became a special gathering place for friends and family near and far.

Missing their children and grandchildren, they moved back to the states; First to Marco Island FL before settling back home in Connecticut where Sunday dinners and holidays were enjoyed by the family.

As a child Nancy enjoyed summers in the Branford community of Hotchkiss Grove and time spent with friends in her hometown. Throughout her life Nancy enjoyed cooking, decorating, gardening, painting and caring for her pets over the years.

Nancy is predeceased by her husband William, son William, and twin grandchildren Michael and Hannah.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am on December 6th at St. John’s RC Church (161 Main Street, Old Saybrook CT).
