Dear Bill,
I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I will always remember my mom and dad (Joan and Elmer) and you and Shirley sitting around our kitchen table. I will never forget her smile and laugh. I also won't forget our trip to Malone, New York, with you, my father and brothers to go look at a run down farm. You and your daughter are in my thoughts at this sad and difficult time.

My Aunt Shirley was an extraordinary person ~ certainly one of the most kind and thoughtful human beings I've ever had the pleasure to know and love. From wonderful childhood memories of Sundays at the shore with my family, to adult life where I received two cards back for every one sent, a sadness now grips my family which will always remain. As an adult, "my holiday" was to host was Mother's Day; Aunt Shirley may not have been the first one to arrive, but was certainly always the last to leave, much to Uncle Bill's chagrin! My memories of those 30 years know no bounds and always bring a smile to my face. She in fact WAS the life of the party! To know such a wonderful lady, much less be related, was a joy to behold and she will remain deep in my heart forever.
