Sidney F. Manning

Sidney “Sid” F. Manning, age 66 of Windsor Locks, CT and Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Hartford Hospital after courageously battling complications following heart surgery. Sid was a loving father and grandfather, respected real estate broker and a longtime resident of Connecticut.

Sid was a self-made man and consummate entrepreneur. With his tremendous work ethic, resilience, and ingenuity he overcame substantial adversity during his youth. His passion and tenacious spirit guided him to form a successful real estate company and enter into many business ventures throughout his career without ever losing sight of how his journey began. Sid viewed his success as a gift and he felt compelled to share it with others.

Sid is survived by his loving companion of many years, Dee Chillson and her family, his daughter Renee Bishop and her husband John of Manchester, CT, his son Christopher Manning and his companion Betty of Peachtree City, GA, his daughter Kimberly Mount and her husband Brad of Avon, CT and his two grandchildren, Kyle Bishop and Benjamin Mount who will always adore their Grandpa. He also leaves behind his sister Marlene Colli of Ellington, CT, brother Joe Aloisa of Windsor Locks, CT, brother Charles Papolio of Burr Ridge, IL, and their families, and several nephews and nieces who were very near and dear to his heart.

Sid was an avid boater who felt at home on the ocean. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He loved sharing adventures and taking excursions with Dee and their beloved poodles - Max and Mindy - who will miss him dearly. Sid touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity, and compassion and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
