So sad to hear about this. I've only had the pleasure of meeting Zach a small handful of times, but I ended up thinking about him regularly. Having multiple friends work closely with him, he comes up often, but I have never heard a bad thing about him. And I mean that. Just sad that I won't get to connect with him in person again. Rest in peace, brother.

I've been working with Zach this past year. In this short period of time, he made a big impression. From our first meeting, he treated me as a friend. He was one of my favorite people to work with & I always looked forward to our interactions. I'd like to say now how grateful I am for the opportunity to meet Zach. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

Sincerely,

Charlie Steffens

I had the pleasure of being Zach’s clinical instructor as he did an internship at Gordon College. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. Even after all of these years I think of him and am so proud of all he accomplished. Zach was compassionate, smart, funny and I was honored to be able to work with him. He even loaned me a dog crate when I got my puppy because I needed one and he had one. He was always thinking of others. He and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Markowitz Family,
I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Zach during visits to the Atlanta Hawks. He was such a bright young man in our shared field of Athletic Performance and Rehabilitation. He was also an incredible person to be around. He will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

Dear family,
Zach was a good friend to my daughter, Alainy, in Atlanta. She had the privledge of sitting for K whenever the Hawks were out of town. My daughter and her friends would argue over who got to watch K. Zach had such a sweet doggy daughter. Zach would compensate them with Hawks game tickets. And they went to Boston when the Hawks and Celtics played. They enjoyed seeing Zach and meeting Lo.
One time I watched K and painted her nails bright pink. Although she looked adorable, Zach did not like the look. (Sorry Zach and K:)
Thank you for sharing Zach with Atlanta. He was a kind and gentle soul. He is greatly missed here.

Dear Melissa and family,
I was so sorry to read of the untimely death of Zachary. I hope and pray that you are able to support each other during this difficult time of grief.

The loss of a child or sibling seems so unfair...have been through it myself and know.
