

Arthur grew up in Old Town and was a graduate of Old Town high school, class of 1955. After graduation, Arthur enlisted in the Air Force and was active duty. After serving many years in the Air Force, he transferred to the Air National Guard, eventually retiring from the service as a Master Sergeant.
In the second half of his life, post service, he found his calling being a car salesman for many local Ford dealers. Just up before he passed, he said he would never drive anything besides a ford! He enjoyed many successful years as a car salesman before he retired for the second time.
Arthur’s life wasn’t all about work though, the love of his life Louise came into his life and they had a great family together. He treated her to many trips to across the country for vacation and some outside of the country. The two enjoyed the time they had together, whether it was traveling, staying home or just dancing to Proud Mary. Arthur also enjoyed flying in his spare time, hunting, fishing, playing cribbage and planting many apple seeds around his and everyone’s property.
Arthur is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Louise; his sons, Mark Wickett of Old Town and Steve Wickett; step-children, Julie Tessman, Roy Holmand and Ken Holman; grandchildren, Julie, Jennifer and Dan Wickett; his brother, Linwood Jr. and his wife Nancy and sister, Diane Bertrand of South Carolina.
